One of country’s biggest duos is set to turn the Biggest Little City into Cowboy Town! This summer, Brooks & Dunn brings their rowdy, raucous show to the Reno Events Center on Saturday, June 7 at 8pm. After nearly two decades of country hits, Grammy’s, Country Music Awards and over thirty million album sales, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn continue to set the standard in the country music industry.

The duo started their smash career in 1991 with the debut album, “Brand New Man.” Now, twelve albums later, Brooks & Dunn is selling out arenas around the world with its latest hit album, “Cowboy Town.” “We came from pretty blue-collar backgrounds, so you had to dream some lofty dreams,” says Ronnie Dunn about the emotional momentum that drives “Cowboy Town.”

Those lofty dreams are now reality and define the premise behind “Cowboy Town.” Despite what its title may suggest, the album is not about rodeo cowboys or the inhabitants of a mythical West. “Cowboy Town” explains, a cowboy – or a cowgirl, for that matter, as the record “Cowgirls Don’t Cry” makes clear – is anyone who gets up and stands tall after taking a hit. It’s an attitude that Dunn says takes shape where “the Rolling Stones meet the cowboys out there across America and everywhere else.” The rocking title track sounds that way too – a muscular, uplifting blend of country and rock & roll.

Ronnie Dunn grew up with a mother who clung to her Bible and a father who was into hard-hitting honky tonk music. With a choice to pick either school or playing in beer joints, Dunn set out to chase the music. Landing in Tulsa, the quiet bass player quickly became a local force to be reckoned with as a genuine country singer. Meanwhile, Kix Brooks grew up in Louisiana, where beer joints weren’t temples to country music, but were combustive places where the people came for a party.

Once these two came together, the success never stopped. With over 28 million albums sold, four Entertainer of the Year Awards and a combined 28 Duo of the Year records for the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Awards, performances at the Olympics and a Presidential Inauguration, Brooks & Dunn is an undeniable country music phenomenon.
